Admission

In order to be admitted into a degree programs from the faculty of education, the applicant needs to have the following qualifications; 

Bachelor of Education (Arts) and Bachelor of Education (Science)

Direct entry (Form VI) qualification; should have at least two or more principal level passes in two teaching subjects, one of which must be in arts.

Equivalent qualifications:

An appropriate equivalent diploma in education with an overall grade of B, or possession of an Adult Education diploma from the Institute of Adult Education or Agency for the Development of Educational Management (ADEM) with passes at an overall of B+ or better. Passes in teaching methodology courses will not be considered.

For Bachelor of Education (Science)

Direct entry (Form VI) qualification; should have at least two principal level passes in any of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology

Equivalent qualifications:

An appropriate equivalent diploma in education with an average grade of B, or higher. Passes in teaching methodology courses will not be considered

Post- Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE)

 A candidate should have any Bachelor degree or equivalent in any field other than education with a minimum of 2.0 GPA
