Profile

Dr. Joel Jonathan Kayombo (Ph.D) is the Dean of the Faculty of Education at the Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE). He is also is a Lecturer in the Department of Educational Foundation, Management and Lifelong Learning (EFMLL) in the same faculty. He holds a PhD in Comparative Education from Beijing Normal University, P.R. China. He completed his Master in Educational Leadership and Policy at East China Normal University, P.R. China and Bachelor of Education (Arts) at the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania in 2011 and 2008 respectively. Before joining the academia in July 2009, Kayombo briefly worked as a Tutor at Morogoro Teacher’s College from August, 2008 to June, 2009. He teaches courses in Comparative and International Education, Sociology of Education, Organizational Behavior in Education, Management of Education and School Administration, and Human Resources Development in Education at undergraduate and post graduate levels.
