Dr. Kinyota Mjege is a Lecturer of STEM education at the Faculty of Education, DUCE. He earned a PhD with dissertation titled “Understanding STEM-Identity Formation among Tanzanian Females Who Persist in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)” from the Instutute of International and Comparative Education of Beijing Normal Uviversity, P.R.C (2019), A Master’s of Education from the University of Massachusents, USA (2013) and a Bachelor of Science Education from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania (2010). He teaches undergraduate and post-graduate courses in areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education, curriculum and instruction, and instructional design in STEM. His research interests include teaching and learning in STEM, teacher professional learning, social justice issues in STEM, and informal learning in STEM. Other expertise include mixed-methods design, qualitative and quantitative data analysis, and project planning.
