Jovitha Lazaro Mayega is an Assistant Lecturer at Dar es Salaam Univeristy College of Education Faculty of Education, Department of Educational Psychology and Curriculum Studies. She is an academician holding masters degree whose research interests are vocational and technical education, competence-based education, youth employment and language in particular. In regard to her career, she has also attended shortcourses training such as proposal writing and research writing. Mayega has published a research paper about the what and how should vocational and technical education be implemented for youth employment. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate (by thesis) in Education at the University of Dar es Salaam. Before being a Ph. D candidate, she taught and conducted seminars for postgraduate and undergraduate students at Dar es Salaam University College of Education and she taught primary and secondary teachers at Klerruu Teachers College, Tanzania. She teaches courses in secondary education language methods, Kiswahili teaching methods, classroom interactions, pedagogy of teacher education and curriculum development.
